An American company has launched an application that allows users to hire armed bodyguards temporarily, even by the hour. This new service is currently only available in the cities of Los Angeles and New York.

The company Protector promotes its new application "Protector" as a way to provide citizens with the highest level of private protection. iOS users can now easily book elite security professionals, veterans, or former private security agents to act as personal protectors when needed.

The bodyguards available through the application are both active professionals and veterans of the United States Army, special forces, or law enforcement. Users can select the number of bodyguards to hire, the type of uniform, and the number of vehicles that will accompany them.

The cost of hiring a bodyguard with a vehicle is $1,000 for a minimum of five hours as required by the application. In a promotional video, the company refers to cases such as the murder of UnitedHealthcare's CEO, Brian Thompson, implying that their service could have prevented these situations.

The founder of the company, Nick Sarath, emphasizes that Protector aims to streamline private security services, making them more accessible and easier to manage for users. Some advisors like Nikita Bier, former product director at Meta, have compared the application to an "Uber with guns."

In summary, this new application provides users with the ability to quickly and easily hire high-quality personal protection, adapting to security needs in today's world.
